I read someone resume the other day, they were looking for a management position in a technical field.
There was no higher education but what hit me was this line.
“I was once introduced as near genius at problem solving”

Intriguing...I would think of the worst problem possible and ask him to solve it if he is such a genius. With your job, coming up with an scenario should be easy.
I think this line is acceptable on a resume as long as the job-seeker wears a large crushed velvet hat bedecked with several large feathers.
You don't know me but I was surfing blogs and came across yours. The resume statement definitely caught my eye. That person is a genius at how not to get a job.
Ok -my first question is how near to genius is he? If the appliant that wrote the statement is female -give her the job -she is probably underestimating herself and should run for the next Gov. of Alaska -I understand the position will be vacant -see how I just solved that problem?
Such a genius that he's destined for bigger things and he's way over qualified.
