Happy Mother's Day

Ok it is official I am my Mother's Child. This is just one of many confermations of that fact.

Last week we had a few people over to watch the run for the roses (I'm still a little dismayed by the death of the only filly in the race). It was last minute so I pick up KFC and needless to say too much. The Old one and I had left overs for most of the week. Well yesterday I found the box containing the week old biscuits. Any normal person would have just thrown those little hockey pucks out, or broke them up for the birds. I slice them thin (you can only do this once they are hard) dipped them in egg and made country style french toast. Served with OJ, beacon, and topped with peanut butter and maple syrup. It was very tasty, and filling. All but one small round was eaten and that Scruff was more than happy to finish off, cause a dogs got to have a treat every now and again.

Ewwww......you ate the hockey pucks even after they were sitting around for a few days. Corky won't even eat them when they are fresh. I probably would have ate them also. I try not to waste food or cook anymore than I need to.
