FUN MONDAY - Collecting collections

THIS WEEK'S FUN MONDAY HOST: The every popular Mariposa's Tales

~THE ASSIGMENT ~So on Monday, I want to see your collection. If you don't have or don't want or CAN'T (wink) show us a picture, then tell us what the collection is in 10 words or less. Then tell us why you started collecting it.

Collections:

  • Well there is that my assortment of assorted Tupperware, gladware, cool whip container, etc lids. Not the bowls just the lid lots and lots lids. Sadly my sister keeps thinking that the lid is of no use and keep thinning up my collection. Picture after a recent weeding of matchless lids.

  • Than there is the shopping bag collection, but than again then are just recycled as doggie dodo pickuper, or trash bags so does that count as a collection. Besides the goal is to never have more than twenty. And the canvas bag is use for shopping.
  • There are all those dry pens and broken pencils. Oh yea my sister trade them out 10 for 1 and took them all away for a pack on new ones. I told here the new ones had no character and I was planning an art project with all those old writing implements. She said “liar liar pants on fire”, and took them away.
  • So that leave my miss matched socks, the sister hasn’t found them yet, beside I only get one type and color of socks so the mate of one pretty much match another. What can I say, my socks are swingers.

  • Only items left are my single ear rings, I have lots and lots of single ear rings, but they are still in a box from my last move so no picture of my lovely single ear ring tree.

He,he I have some lids with no containers and containers without matching lids. I have several unmatched socks and single earrings too. Maybe if we joined our collections, we might have a pair of socks and a matching set of earrings.

What's with sister? Is she the anti-clutter police? Grin. . .

I collect similar things, especially writing supplies--many dried up. As to single earring collection--don't you just hate losing one of your favorite pair? It always happens.

HAH! Love those collections.

Hehehe, being retarded I get the opportunity to thin out those types of collections.

Gold liquidation prices are not bad nowadays. This takes care of those single earrings.

As for tupperware lids with no bottoms, well, moving this last time took care of those. Freecycle, giving away those items does wonders for your soul.

I love that: "wedding of the matchless lids".

Perhaps, you could do an art project with the single ear-rings?

Great post!

Haven't you seen that infomercial for the Gold Kit??? They send you and envelope, you send them your old gold, and they send you a check for $1.83 in return. It's wonderful!

Funny, I have the ezact same tupperware collection. Maybe I have the containers and you have all the lids???

Tupperware has become very collectible (apparently) I have a box full in my cellar from the 70's so I'm hanging on to it in the hope of eventually selling it!

Oh No you can't throw the tupperware away, it has a lifetime guarantee!

I love your header, it is really beautiful!

So, you're the one who stole all my plastic lids. I think it was mean of you. I've had to use Saran Wrap. And now you tell me that you've allowed your sister to weed out "your" plastic lid collection. Jeez. Some people.

My mother used to collect Tupperware too, but when the price gets higher, she stops buying.

Wow, your tupperware looks so much better organized than mine... how ever do you do it?

I made a major clearing out of "stuff" several years ago and now I have matching socks and pairs of earrings. There can be peace in the world!

I have all of these same collections!

I wonder if they will be worth something on Ebay someday?

Maybe if we all got together, we could find matches for all our single socks!
